At the end of the season there are 8 senior players whose contracts finish. The question is who do we keep and who do we let go? I have given my opinion below but I'm interested to know what you guys think.
Yoann Barbet
Yohan has become a favourite of many fans and surely we must find a way of getting him to sign an extension. The fans want him to stay and I believe the manager and club wants him to stay so it's over to Yohan. A definite keep for me.
Moses Odubajo
I have been unconvinced by Odubajo who I find too inconsistent and injury prone. The only positive is that he can cover as a left back but I'd thank him and say goodbye.
Dom Ball
Unfortunately for Dom he has dropped way down the order in midfield and when Masterson returns he isn't needed as cover in central defence either. I don't see him getting another contract at QPR and like Moses it's a thanks and good luck at another club.
Albert Adomah
Albert is now a cult hero and is one of our own. This was his first season as a wing back and he's done a great job. He stated in our podcast that he wants to continue playing so let's get him signed up soon.
Lee Wallace
Since adopting a left wing back role he has been tremendous. The issue is that at 34yo he is now very injury prone and whilst Id give him another season it would be as cover for a new and younger left wing back who has to be signed in the next transfer window.
David Marshall
Since his arrival last month he has done well and will provide competition to Seny when he arrives back from AFCON. He was a needs must signing on big wages and I'd keep him for another season but only if the financial package makes sense.
Charlie Owens
Charlie has been at the club for a while and just when he looked like he might break into the first team he picked up an awful injury. The club stuck by him and gave him a 12 months contract last year. Having watched him play a few games for the U23's I don't think he's good enough to challenge for a place in our first team squad. Time to say goodbye.
Dillon Barnes
Currently on loan at Yeovil I doubt that Dillon will return as a QPR player and expect the club to thank him for his services and say goodbye.
