It was a hard fought draw against Middlesbrough. Nobody went for 2-2 but kingfisher, daveb, ashqpr, Rosco Bosco, LurkR, MCM Hoop, CutePR, MaxQPR and Jalfrezi Rs all predicted a draw
NoahHoop, MaxQPR, qprallan and e17hoop had Chair as first scorer for 6 important points. onenightfever, LurkR and woodork had Willock for a back up point.
daveb, onenightfever, SydneyR, e17hoop and LurkR had the 16-30 first goal time
ranger-boy and Tomcat75 had the Sheffield United would win 2-0 in the bonus match
So with just ONE match left in Phase 2 let's see how things shape up...
The top scorers were father and son combo e17hoop and MaxQPR who each scored 10. MaxQPR wasn't happy about losing top spot a fortnight ago and has scored 19 points in 2 games to move 8 points clear of onenightfever and looks odds on for the maximum 10 bonus points.
The 10 points for e17hoop mean he is looking odds on for promotion from The Championship; moving up from 4th to 2nd and 7 points clear of 4th place. minxymartin had been top for 8 rounds in a row and with 1 game to go slips to 3rd. He does have a 4 point cushion over qprallan and SydneyR. daveb is now top and with an 8 point gap to 4th looks certain to be heading to the top flight for the first time!
Back in the top flight Tomcat75 looks set for relegation straight back to The Championship, sitting 8 points from safety with 1 match left. After scoring 85 points in Phase 1 it is unfortunately only 38 in this phase.
It is tighter above Tomcat with ashqpr and stoatey both within touching distance of safety. ranger-boy and Jalfrezi Rs will both head into the weekend looking over their shoulders. It would take a strange set of results for anybody else to get dragged down.
