Today marks 5 years of Hoops & Dreams so it’s time for the annual site stats update...
I cannot believe it is already half a decade since I set up Hoops & Dreams when QPRnet closed down. Thanks to all of you we continue to go from strength to strength with more new regular contributors to our forum plus our podcasts, QPR stats and games are growing all the time.
Our 5th year was one that promised so much on the field but ended with the R’s finishing 11th and we now of course head into next season with a new manager in Michael Beale. We hope you will share the journey with us. If you have anything at all to say about QPR... post it!
SITE STATS:
We have again had our highest ever number of posts in the last 12 months with 10,878. There were 578 threads created whilst we had a record 542,306 page views; taking us to just under 2.3 million views in the 5 years.
The Top 5 posters this year were:
1) stoatey = 1702
2) kingfisher = 1479
3) tomcat75 = 1175
4=) jimjams = 691
4=) singlespeed = 691
The No. 1 spot continues to change hands every year with stoatey back on top spot for a 2nd time this year, knocking last year’s No. 1 kingfisher down to 2nd spot. singlespeed was a previous No. 1 and is back in the Top 5 level in 4th with jimjams.
I don't count myself as I have to create a lot of threads for prediction competitions, results, stats etc, but for those interested I had 2136 posts overall.
In 2021/22 we crowned ranger-boy the QPR Prediction League champion, Rosco Bosco won Win, Lose & Draw and MCM Hoop took The Lone Ranger crown.
All 3 games will be back for 2022/23 so do get involved!
HOOPS & DREAMS PODCAST
I want to say a huge thank you to kingfisher for hosting our podcasts throughout last season and to daveb for adding the graphics and stats you see on screen.
We are still fine tuning how to do these; you can hopefully see the improvement from when we started out and we hope to continue doing better this coming season. We keep trying new things and are adapting how we go about them. We hope you continue to enjoy the podcasts and of course if you want to be involved just get in touch
We are currently running down the Top 50 QPR Players of All Time and you can see Part 1 HERE. A new part will be added each week throughout June.
Make sure you subscribe to the channel and like the videos to help us along
If you are reading this and you aren’t registered to the site then please become a site member for FREE by clicking HERE and get involved. The main benefit of registering is you will then get blue QPR icons for new content and white icons when you have viewed the page, aiding navigation and making it easier to see when new content or posts are available to view. It would mean a lot if you were to join us. As a smaller community you literally become part of our QPR family and become a well known name onsite! We make no money from the site; we’d just love you to be a part of it!
Thank you to all of you who continue to make Hoops & Dreams a great place to visit for QPR chat, news and games. Here’s to another fantastic 12 months of following QPR ahead.
Keep posting!
Come on You R’s!
