Indeed they will, but they are paid primarily for the 90 minutes at the weekend/midweek. So if anything, to preserve high standards of health and safety, surely they should be training less instead?
The only teams who will be in favour of this are the ones with large squads and plenty of options to change things around. It'll just make it harder for smaller sides in the league to compete as well as they might have been able to
