Hoilett is on the list I guess because of the expectation Vs reality. We thought he was the next big thing and he was just another Shaun Wright Phillips. So disappointing. Even his cross in the play off final was hit and hope

What was the expectation based on? I don't remember that

He was the next big thing at Blackburn, linked with loads of clubs when his contract ended, even clubs higher up the league than us. There was a lot of excitement when he joined and then across 4 years I can recall 2 positive contributions in a hooped shirt. Loved to run up a blind alley. Or just not run at all.

Granero was superb in the 0-0 at home to Chelsea in 2012/13 sat next to Faurlín

Be still my beating heart!
Mock it if you like, but I was there and Faurlín and Granero bossed that game together.
We were good that day, showed no signs of being a team destined for relegation. It is one of those games that gets airbrushed from history because we beat them the year before and then later that season at the Bridge, and because of what the season became. But on that day Granero was outstanding. There were far worse performers in that team and through those two PL season who are more worthy of a place on this list — Tal Ben Haim, Kieron Dyer, Danny Gabbidon, Diakité, Mbia, Bothroyd, DJ Campbell, Julio Cesar, Park
I wasn't mocking your opinion, simply that he came from Real Madrid. Earlier we were talking about expectations around Hoilett! Surely you'll agree the expectations around Granero were higher? Pointing to one great performance means nothing
Anyway...for what its' worth, I agree that there our other worse players who deserve to be on the list ahead of him but if we were making a Most Disappointing XI then he'd get in my team
Yes worst XI is different to most disappointing XI, the most disappointing team would probably be a better place for the likes of Hoilett and Granero than the worst one. Add in Leroy Fer and Sandro etc!!
To be fair, I wasn't expecting some of my picks to be so controversial haha!
I'll be honest, I was close to not putting Granero in there as I had about 3-4 players for that position. However I felt he came to us with so much potential, yet we didn't see much of it at all. I'll happily agree he had a couple of good games for us and was very good in the Chelsea game, however Cesar was also ridiculous in that game yet doesn't feature very highly at all in peoples thoughts. However 1-2 games does not make a season.
Whilst the actual fee at the time was undisclosed, multiple sources had it down for around 8-9 million. That's another reason why I felt he should be in here ahead of a few others.
Also a controversial opinion will always be the best way to get a conversation going on a messageboard
(It also doesn't help my cause that I'm a fair whack younger, so don't have as many players to choose from than some others might as I wanted them to be ones I've seen live in person)

We can definitely be more forgiving to a player who cost nothing from the back end of nowhere and turned out to be rubbish. We can laugh about those ones.
The guys who cost millions and earned millions without lifting a finger deservedly get a lot more stick and hate!!

What’s a fair whack younger? I’m 25 next month, so likewise my selections are somewhat limited.
I’ll throw Pellicori into the ring too. I also didn’t go much on Matthew Rose. Patrick Kanyuka deserves a mention too. I also disliked Simon Royce, Paul Jones, Marcus Bignot, Sampsa Timoska. And Chris Plummer is name I vaguely remember from early programmes a long with Arthur Gnohere. Surprised more haven’t gone for Tom Williams given everything that happened in 2003
Re Granero jimjams disappointment, yes probably. But if I look at that team now, on paper Granero is your ball player. I find it ridiculous that nobody at the club looked at it and thought, right we need a younger Shaun Derry to protect Granero and afford him time on the ball. And I’m not sure that anybody who is playing alongisde individuals as woeful as Samba Diakité or Stephane Mbia is destined to succeed.
For a point of reference. Can we count Matt Pickens even though he never played? He did break Rowan Vine’s leg and effectively finished his career.
Oh I’d throw Jason Puncheon and Tamas Priskin in as well

The only criteria we are going to have for this list is that the player must have made at least 1 official appearance for QPR. Friendlies etc don't count. So Pickens is worth a mention but won't be eligible. Same with Richard Ord; a lot mentioned him on Twitter but he got injured in a friendly and was never seen again!
Puncheon was awesome with Palace for a period of time but looked horrendous in his brief time with us. Priskin was dreadful, we went through a spell of loaning anybody and everybody and most were a shambles!
