Ready for the weekend we are bringing you the penultimate part of our countdown of the Top 50 QPR Players of All Time... We have hit the Top 20 and in Part 4 we count down the players who ranked from 20-11

For an explanation of how the Top 50 list was formed click ‘spoiler’ below:
The Top 50 list was formed from average rankings over numerous phases of voting.
The initial stages had 120 QPR players from all era’s split into 6 groups, each containing 20 players. To form the list we used the ‘pub meeple’ ranking system. This gave each user a choice of 2 QPR players at a time and gave them their personal rankings for each group... but at my end it combined all of the votes to form an overall ranking for the 20 players in each group. If the first user had Player X in 4th but the second user had them 16th they would have been 10th overall. If the third user had them 7th they would move up and so on.
Each player got a number of percentage points based on their position in their groups. For example if PLAYER X came top in the rankings for 9 out of 10 users they would have 90 points.
These points were then taken and all the players put together in a list of 120 and ranked according to their percentage points.
The players who came 42nd to 60th took part in some play-offs that followed and this eliminated over half of the players leaving us with 51
The final 51 were split into 3 groups, each containing 17 players. They were divided up equalled based on positions in the first phase
Again as before these were ranked head to head by the users and I got the averages at my end.
Once this phase was the 51st player was eliminated to leave us with the Final 50.
There was a final stage of voting, with 5 groups each containing 14 players. There were some crossovers with players in 2 groups to double check their ranking positions against various players.
The average ranking position from each of these phases was taken into account
For example in the different voting stages Ebere Eze came 10th, 14th and 14th - average rank 12.66. This is the 12th highest average we had across the players, so he ranks 12th.
I hope this offers some explanation or at least shows the level of thought that has gone into forming the list. Nobody would ever have the same Top 50 as somebody else, but we feel this way took a representative average of the votes from hundreds of QPR fans who took part.
