Two games, both giving completely contrasting results and emotions, the delights of Tuesday to the dismay of Saturday!
BOOKINGS
Bookings for Scowen and Cousins against Sheffield United means Scowen moves on to 2 bookings, whilst Cousins picks up his first booking on his 2nd appearance this season. Freemans booking at Forest moves him on to 3 for the season.
APPEARANCES
Smithies, Bidwell and Freeman all continue to set the paces at 16 games each, having not missed a single league game yet whilst Smith continues to be our option from the bench, his substitue appearance against Forest being his 11th this season already after 16 games.
GOALSCORERS
Syllas goal against the Blades back on Tuesday means he's now level with Smith and Washington on 4 goals each this season, with 3 of them coming in October. His only other goal this season was his winner off the bench against Hull. Hopefully that run will finally kickstart his season and we see the Sylla of last season a bit more now.
GOAL TIMES
Syllas 4th minute goal against Sheffield United is only the 3rd time we've scored in the early stages of matches this season, however that early goal was equalled out by Tyler Walkers 13th minute goal on Saturday for Forest. Walkers second late on means we've now conceded 4 time in the closing stages of matches, although that is still where we score most of our goals. Conceding either side of Half Time continues to make grim reading for our defending at these crucial times, conceding 6 goals at both stages already, double the amount we have scored in these areas.
OTHER STATS
We still seem to not be having too many troubles in having attempts on goal, but keeping them on target is another matter, scoring them seems to be the hardest of the lot. We do seem to have eased up on the amounts of fouls we've been giving away though and seem to be restricting the opposition to a lot less chances than we've had so there is still grounds for positivity in there.
