It is always exciting when the final match of a phase is a high scoring one and so it proved this time against Cardiff...
ashqpr got one of the calls of the season so far going for 3-0 to the R's! Only jimjams didn't predict a QPR win.
Ghost, Rosco Bosco, qprallan, daveb, onenightfever, myself, NoahHoop, woodork, MCM Hoop, CutePR, Ricardo Rangers, e17hoop and Jalfrezi Rs all had Dykes as first scorer for 6 big points
MCM Hoop, myself, Ghost, kingfisher, qprfcfromwhitecity, ranger-boy, Ricardo Rangers, SydneyR, LurkR and Jalfrezi Rs got the 16-30 first goal time
The main drama was in the fight for the 3 promotion places. NoahHoop and qprallan both scored 10 to storm over the line but in 3rd is daveb who climbs 2 places above jimjams and stoatey who only scored 3 points between them. jimjams in particular will be kicking himself after failing to score in the final 4 games to miss out on a place in the top flight. daveb bounced straight back to the Premier League after being relegated at the end of last season, qprallan is back in the big time for the first time since 20/21 and NoahHoop is promoted for the first ever time. Well done to all 3.
They replace ranger-boy, singlespeed and CutePR in the top flight. CutePR scored 10 on the final day but finishes 10 points from onenightfever and is relegated for the first time in 3 1/2 years. ranger-boy is relegated for a record 4th time but the last 3 times he was relegated he bounced straight back. Can he do it again?
There was a change at the very top as Jalfrezi Rs pipped e17hoop - who led since Match 6 - to the big 10 bonus points. MCM Hoop stayed 3rd.
At the very bottom of The Championship QPRBex forgot to enter and with big scores elsewhere ends up in the bottom 3 and will start Phase 2 on -2. qprfcfromwhitecity and ashqpr were struggling for most of this opening phase and prop up the table. kingfisher escapes and finishes 10th.
There is a reminder below of how the start of Phase 2 will look. The top 8 in the Premier League get bonus points depending where they finished, the 3 relegated players now get small parachute payments and the bottom 3 in The Championship start on negative points.
