Match 1 saw Germany and Spain draw 1-1 which only CutePR predicted exact and NoahHoop was the only other player to pick a draw. Nobody had Morata as first scorer or the 61-75 first goal time.
Match 2 was a 2-0 win for Portugal which ranger-boy had to pick up 6 points. daveb did well having Fernandes as first scorer whilst ashqpr and Ricardo Rangers had the 46-60 first goal time
Ghana beat South Korea 3-2 in Match 3 - only CutePR, ranger-boy and daveb predicted a Ghana win. Ricardo Rangers and myself had the 16-30 first goal time in this one.
Finally Cameroon and Serbia had the very hard to predict 3-3 draw - LurkR, ranger-boy, Rosco Bosco and daveb did at least predict a draw.
There were 16 bookings and one clash between ashqpr and kingfisher did go down to goal difference and ashqpr went for exactly 16 to sneak into the Quarter Finals. kingfisher exits in Round 2 for the 3rd cup in a row.
The top scorer was daveb with 16 and the winner of our FA Cup competition last season ranger-boy has knocked out Prediction League leader Jalfrezi Rs
Ricardo Rangers is through to the Quarter Finals on his cup debut, defeating MCM Hoop - who along with Ghost and myself exits having still yet to ever make a cup final despite entering every competition to date.
Here is how Round 2 shaped up:
QUARTER FINALS
Round 3 - the Quarter Finals - sees the remaining 8 players going head to head again. As mentioned before Round 2 the winner of Tie 1 plays the winner of Tie 5, 2 plays 6, 3 plays 7 and 4 plays 8. This is the same pre-set draw order as previous cups.
That leaves us with the following Quarter Final line up with 8 players still in with a chance of getting 10 bonus points for the QPR Prediction League:
Tie 1: Ricardo Rangers Vs ranger-boy
Tie 2: NoahHoop Vs Rosco Bosco
Tie 3: CutePR Vs daveb
Tie 4: ashqpr Vs LurkR
The points all reset to zero. Round 1/2 score and previous goal difference only come into play going forward if there is no separating the players in the next round.
The Quarter Finals thread will be ready to enter once more fixtures are confirmed - the deadline for entries will be 3pm on Saturday 3rd December
