I think critchley walking from Blackpool to villa was purely down to more money and the glimmering lights of the premier league Mark warburton who could manage any club in the championship also taken a coaching role at West Ham maybe for the same reason, that’s my opinion anyway Beale may of earnt more money at villa but saw us as tactically a way of working his way to a higher earning bigger managerial position once he proved his point with us He’s under huge pressure at rangers and with their fans,be interesting to see how he does Mark robins of Coventry city is who id like as manager, completely turned round that club
Mark Robins does always come across as a very astute manager and Coventry looked an incredibly strong side against us recently. He knows the league and would have a good knowledge of players to target who could help us keep improving.
Whether we can afford him and whether he would take what looks a sideways step on paper remains to be seen.
Coventry do have their off the field issues so perhaps he can be lured away.
I still think an out of work manager or a current youth coach/assistant is more likely.
If they go for robins it shows this club has some big ambitions if we go for a manager like critchley its not that exciting but would be cheaper and hes experienced the younger ones worry me as this league takes no prisoners and i think they would struggle
Not a lot has been mentioned about a real replacement manager coming in this week and our first game without Beale is coming up Strange as last week everyone was linked to the job

As I said elsewhere singlespeed, I have just come off a Zoom session with the club and for definite Paul Hall and his team will be in the dugout against Burnley. There was talk of a follow-up session in the close season when we cover stuff like meeting the new manager.....and that was promptly corrected!
Well I have just come off a Zoom session and it is confirmed that Paul Hall, plus Andy Impey & Paul Furlong will be in the dugout for the Burnley match.
Interesting, thanks kingfisher. They must be taking their time like they did in the summer.
Surely they want the new guy in charge in the week after though before the rush of games at Christmas.
