Yes Burnley were very impressive and made it look easy. I think they will win the league at a canter, they have amazing squad depth.

..and therein lies the nub of the issue: You want relegated clubs with inflated (PL-level) wage bills to be compensated for a while, but that level of finance is being used to keep many of the squad that played in the PL...

Critchley has been re-appointed at Blackpool on a 4 year deal.

I wonder how he will be received by their fans given he walked away out of nowhere last summer?

It didn't work out well for either party with them getting relegated and him having to drop a level from where they were if he had just stayed where he was!

How can you pass judgement upon your manager just two games into the season? I doubt he got what he wanted in the transfer market and two defeats later he is out! Feel sorry for him.

Good point jimjams but still not the sort of continuity a club should be aiming for, and this 'sack him' mentality should make the next manager go for a 7 year contract!
