Look at West Broms new manager He’s completely turned them round But they got a lot of good players from the premier league still Maybe Beale showed what a good manager he actually was to start with to get that riff raff we got,top of the league and flying at the start of the season We only started slipping once he had his eye on Glasgow rangers Critchley don’t give me a lot of confidence so far

We won't be in a relegation battle, primarily because there are some terrible teams in this league, but it looks like another season that promised so much is going to end up fading away and being a massive letdown.
Reading ranger-boy's post and others has been interesting. So has listening to Neil Critchley's post-match interview. How does anyone keep that upbeat after such a series of defeats and still insist we have a good squad? We do not have anywhere near the depth of quality that most other top teams have and, as the season takes it toll, that lack of depth will hurt even more. So we have had another harsh reality check: Neil Critchley is not a Messiah and cannot make silk purses out of pigs' ears! He was honest in admitting that the majority of the possession and failure to exploit crosses was a concern, but he dodged the question about using the January transfer market to remedy the situation....
I do agree with stoatey that sending back Roberts and Richards makes sense. Let their parent clubs write their sick notes! They have just failed to deliver!! My biggest concern is Neil Critchley actually believing Shodipo is a worthy starter (ahead of Adomah or Dozzell?). I would expect a decent manager to have him sussed long before he was given yet another chance....
WLS post-match interview with NC revealed that JCS, Chair and Dozzell were down with a bug (and that is why Chair was subbed). That helps to explain the bench.

I try to keep upbeat because I look at the biger picture, not just the result. Look at Burnley and last night. Neither of those games were 0-3 games, but us not taking our chances has lead to it and the few chances we have given away have ended up in goals conceded. Is this doen to us making comical mistakes at the back or opposition having class players that we're simply not able to go for? I personally think both. However we've also had tough games since the restart against top sides (Burnley, Preston, Luton etc).
Unfortunately we don't have money to spend unless we sell a good player for big money (look at Eze for example, selling him funded some superb players for us). Until we get to a position where we are self sustaining, this is the only way we can attempt to progress as a club and we have the reckless spending in the Premier League years to thank for it. We've paid off the £40m fine very recently, however we now tread a very fine line before falling foul of FFP again. Ultimately we're going to be in this position until;
1) We manage to get lucky and force our way in to the Premier League by hook or crook
2) We manage to sell 3-4 players for £80-£100m and can then start getting better quality players
3) We get a new stadium that can give us a lot of chances to make money away from matchday (our biggest stumbling block)
As much as we all love Loftus Road, it's simply not fit for purpose. It's small so we can't even get big crowds when we are playing well, and there's simply no option to make money out of it when it's not a matchday. Look at clubs like MK Dons and Blackpool who have hotels built in and are making good money that way or Coventry with a casino built in, not to mention other clubs who have spare meeting rooms to hire out, not to mention an extra 10-15k every matchday. All the revenue or rent that could make us would go a long way to ensuring we don't have to sell our best players in order to progress.
So for now, we can only try and compete to the best of our ability and hope it can lead to success one day.

As soon as WBA got rid of the dinosaur in charge, they were always going to fly up the league with the squad they have. They were never going to be down the bottom as soon as they got someone with a brain cell in charge
I actually think Beale is the problem as he would've sold a vision to every player in that dressing room, not just the ones he signed and then dipped at the first chance. It's completely understandable if that had thrown the players and had made them struggle to get back on track. They will come good again, it's a good team playing with no confidence at the moment, as well as illnesses meaning we're forced to chance it up every game.
A bit harsh on Critchley I think, as before yesterday he delivered 4 points and 2 clean sheets from 2 difficult away games. If we had taken our chances and got away with a high scoring draw last night, we all would've been in much higher spirits. He's also been in charge for just over 2 weeks and hasn't had any pre-season, meaning he'll still be trying to get to know our players as well as trying to get his ideas across to them. Things will turn around soon.

When you look at that West Brom job it took some special kind of idiot to have them in the bottom 3, the new fella is really good but he's also got a top 6 squad to work with and they are flying now
Problems Critchley had were rearing their head in the last days of Beale, I thought yesterdays performance was similar to Beales last 2 home games, lots of the ball but never looked like scoring
nobody likes luton beating you and especially doing the double on you lots of angry fans on board and lots of other sites last night including me critchley made a rod for his own back picking shodipo over willock we were always going to fire blanks at him afterwards

To be fair to Shodipo, I'd argue he was one of the better players last night and actually tried to get things going. Willock hasn't been the same since coming back from injury either due to lack of match fitness or lack of confidence (possibly both)
its done now,we cant get those 3 points back you would of thought luton won the world cup last night the way they were going on last night afterwards are we that big a scalp for them in this league we need johansen back in midfield and balogun too if were to get out of this winless streak at home

would agree with that, Shodipo did well and created far more than Willock has in weeks
We’re now 13th in the league But only 2 points of 4th spot What a crazy league the championship is The points we’ve thrown away we should be comfortable 3rd really in my eyes
