Let's see which 16 players have made it through to Round 16 of our FA Cup knockout competition...
Only ranger-boy predicted Fleetwood's win and went for 2-1 for 6 points.
Nobody had any of the 3 scorers but qprfcfromwhitecity, Ghost, myself, jimjams and QPRBex had the 31-45 first goal time
Boreham Wood and Accrington drew 1-1 which CutePR had exact. Nobody had the 0-15 first goal time but NoahHoop, Ghost, LurkR, Ricardo Rangers and CutePR again did have Ndlovu for a back up point
Match 3 saw West Ham beat Brentford 1-0 - a result only e17hoop predicted and nobody had the scorer
Finally Ipswich smashed Rotherham 4-1 which saw everybody bar MCM Hoop, NoahHoop, myself and e17hoop get 3 points
There were 14 bookings in the 4 games and that was to prove crucial because we had NINE players tied on 4 points and the player with the worst goal difference was out... that was MaxQPR who is very unfortunate to exit in Round 1. He joins myself, e17hoop , NoahHoop and MCM Hoop who all had a dismal exit!
It is first ever Round 1 cup exits for e17hoop and MaxQPR and first early exits in 4 years for myself and MCM Hoop.
Nobody really covered themselves in glory but here is how Round 1 shaped up showing those eliminated:
ROUND 2
In Round 2 position 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15, 3 plays 14 and so on, as was the case in all our previous cups, illustrating no fixing of the draw and the higher placed players benefit by playing a lower ranked player (on paper!). It is all head to head battles from here on in!
That leaves us with the following Round 2 line up of 16 players still in with a chance of getting 10 bonus points for the QPR Prediction League:
Tie 1: CutePR V SydneyR
Tie 2: ranger-boy V kingfisher
Tie 3: Ghost V stoatey
Tie 4: qprfcfromwhitecity V Rosco Bosco
Tie 5: QPRBex V Jalfrezi Rs
Tie 6: jimjams V qprallan
Tie 7: Ricardo Rangers V daveb
Tie 8: LurkR V ashqpr
The points all reset to zero. Round 1 score and GD only come into play going forward if there is no separating the players in the next round.
Round 2 takes place on the weekend of 28th January and will be available to enter once the dates for the fixtures have been confirmed.
