Well I have managed to get in a recording before setting off on holiday, and storing appliances for a kitchen refit, although the place looked like a tip! My guest was stoatey, always a knowledgeable fan, and we covered a lot of ground in the time the podcast took. We mentioned the lack of service to the box from the wings and I forgot (as one does) to raise the thought that perhaps the squad was more focused upon close, fast passing - rather than making and using decent crosses! Whilst we wait for daveb to find time to perform magic, any thoughts on this?

I actually think we do a lot of crosses but they are all either rubbish and just hit and hope... Or they need to be put in with miracle accuracy because Dykes is the only player in there surrounded by defenders!
Paal joined the action on Saturday and did 2 crosses. One aimless, low and near nobody, the other into the crowd.
Eze was a brilliant crosser of the ball And if you haven’t got a player of that ability in your team don’t try to cross it as much We are so predictable when we play the ball up front and easy to shut down and now willock is mr invisible we have no goals coming from anywhere
I really like the way that Laird sometimes cuts the ball back rather than crossing it. Of course, that depends on a midfielder being in a position to receive it.
