it's difficult with Les as we are very up and down. Last October top of the league with Willock flying, chair in good form and a managerial appointment ticking all the boxes it all looked to be going in the right direction. I'll never get my head around how it all managed to fall apart so quickly and I imagine he feels as quickly as it went wrong he can turn it back again and will have learnt a lot from the last few months.
The big problem we have at the moment is that the manager was appointed by the Chairman this time not Les so everything he has been working on in the last few years is going to waste now as we are heading down a different path. We've got academy players and a first team squad signed to play one way of football that the current manager won't be playing. I think if you are going to go over the head of your DOF to appoint a manager (as they did with Mcclaren & Holloway as well) I'm not sure what the logic is in keeping him.
For me there needs to be new blood at the club, we need a new full time chairman and a new ceo to run the club day to day. They can then either move Les on and replace him or stick with him but the whole thing feels rudderless from the top and I personally think they will keep Les in place as he is a nice convenient scapegoat
Thanks stoatey & singlespeed for your comments and praise. I think we were unsure how fans would react to this year's rankings, given the poor season, but we have nearly 580 views already on YouTube! We do indeed need to see changes, both in youth development and in introducing loan players. It may be that changes are occurring under Chris Ramsay's direction and not visible yet - I hope that is the case!
