I think we'll struggle but a lot depends on who we sign and sell in the rest of the window. If squad stays as it is we'll go down but pretty sure we'll see several new additions. I think we'll stay up but similar position to last year
It's quite a shock to read those predictions but you can see why. We were very poor last season and are currently even weaker in terms of quality. The hope is we get one or two in to fill the gaps and that GA gets this team to over-perform.
Sorry to say it While ainsworth is at QPR we are relegation material Our style of football while he is here has league one written all over it Our current squad is league one quality
But some teams do better than expected look at coventry but its unlikely going to be us neil warnock isnt spare this season either we just have to hope some other teams underachieve
I can fully understand why we're considered relegation candidates by 4-4-2. As other teams have looked to improve their squads its the opposite at QPR. We are a team that is at best standing still but as last season showed the reality is that we're going backwards. The quality of our squad deteriorates year on year and because we change manager on a regular basis we have no stability.
TF was a disaster for QPR and has now bailed out giving his shares to who knows. Not that I expect any significant change because TF hasn't been at a game for a long while and had already sold some of his shares to RG's company to give them the majority shareholding. From the day TF and RG took over and appointed Phillip Beard and Mark Hughes the structure at the club has been wrong.
For the 2023/24 season I'd view success as finishing outside the bottom 3 but everything will depend on Field, Chair and Dykes continuing to make things happen plus Willock returning to form and Begovic producing mind blowing saves. Should any of these guys get injured or sold then things will become even more difficult.

I take comfort from the fact that most teams predicted to be promoted or relegated at the beginning of each season are not those involved! The crucial element is getting the team (and squad) to work together. For whatever reason, Neil Critchley could not achieve that. Now Gareth Ainsworth has the ball... daveb is right though about the need for additional players. In my opinion we still need cover up front, DM, and possibly RB.
There’s literally weeks to go before the season starts We’ve hardly strengthened the squad at all We’ve got a ex striker who was on loan in league 2 last season,a kid from Fulham and a experienced keeper who isn’t going to score many goals We’re just not out there like other clubs getting the players we need,we’re just offloading them Loftus road isn’t even ready for our first few home games I can see why people think we are going to have a shocker
