I took this stat prior to the defeat to Preston. It doesn't make interesting reading:
"QPR are winless in 16 away league games (D5 L11), their worst run outside of the Premier League since September 1999 (also 16) - should they fail to win at Deepdale it would be their longest away winless run out of the top-flight since September 1998 (24 matches without a win)."
Do we blame IH or the players. I feel the players are giving their all. We do seem to be missing a quality striker. Another Deja Vu season !
I don't think we will win an away game the rest of the season with Holloway Even the Preston manager said it's hard to know what formation QPR will play I think keep changing things is our downfall and we look a very unbalanced team I don't care if we whack it long the whole game if it gets us goals like it did against Brentford then so be it We are not fast enough or skillful enough to pass the ball around,we need pace on the wing, most of our goals conceded seem to start from that position and we invite teams to attack us,we don't push high up the pitch Our poor goalkeeper who is too good for us has made scorelines in most games respectable I don't know why we just can't admit and face facts we are a crap team with some good individual players and rely on players like mackie who is too much past his sell by date He like others tries his hardest but that isn't going to stop us going down, which me and my mates think we will with Holloway in charge

The players, even those in round holes, are indeed giving their all. They hurt when they lose, especially if they have made a few mistakes or are not able to play their best. The problem is equally not Ollie's in my opinion, other than that:
We had too many strikers that were in the 'last chance' saloon and nothing was done to reduce that number from 3 to 2 so we could bring in a Championship quality striker
We bought in Lualua instead of extra cover at the RB position. Amazingly that position was not considered important enough, despite Furlong struggling against many Championship sides. Once Perch and Onuoha were out we were deeply into the brown smelly stuff...
I do not believe that what Ollie asks for he gets from Lee Hoos and Sir Les. Because of FFP the club is having to demonstrate conservative spending and that means that Ollie has to try and pick up bargains or go without. Fortunately he has brought in superb players in Scowen and Freeman who slotted right in (Wheeler is one for next season I feel) but he has the legacy of Washington, Sylla, Mackie and Caulker to resolve. Mackie was only meant to be a super-sub I thought for the season, but the poor performance of Washington and Sylla has forced Ollie to play him more.
We can continue to assume the ostrich position or start admitting we have a manager who is out of his depth. We all hoped it would work out after his appointment but it hasn't. Should we replace him now or later is the debate. I would say later is the only answer unless we have a miraculous recovery. I can't see a replacement who would want the job at present. We have a DOF a Technical director I would like to see more hands on.

Whilst I agree totally that Lua Lua was the wrong signing all day long, I don't think we can criticise the lack of cover at right back.
Perch is first choice, Furlong back up and then we did bring in Baptiste. It is not Holloway's fault that Onuoha (who basically hasn't missed a match in 3/4 seasons) is suddenly out for months along with Hall so Baptiste has had to cover centre back. The both Perch and Furlong get injured.
He did bring in right back cover. The main problem we failed to resolve at the back was Caulker. We needed him off the wage bill and he takes up a position in the squad yet is a waste of space. If we had managed to get him out and a dependable replacement in then Baptiste could have played right back.
I feel we did have extra cover at right back, it has just been a freak set of circumstances across the defence.
Completely agree we are deteriorating and that there seems to be few signs of us having an enjoyable season now. Looks and feels like a long winter ahead for QPR. I think Holloway will stay though due to a lack of alternatives.
Is there anybody else who is realistic, available and that we could attract?
