As the title says. It all seems to have gone quiet on the transfer front. Certainly the in's. I know there are rumblings about Wilock, and possibly Chair. But not much coming the other way, not even loans. Stansfield was mentioned, but nothing new on that for a few days.
I agree with that In a way beating Cardiff maybe hasn’t done us any favours as we have suddenly stopped filling our weak areas Last night showed the squad lacks any depth We still need players as it will come back to bite us otherwise in league one

Funny thing is singlespeed you think the cup match highlighted a lack of depth... Ainsworth came away thinking hes now got a lot of options.
Good point too above that the win against Cardiff has quietened things down. If we lost 3-0 last week I suspect it would have been different this week!
Maybe it's just bought the club some time to consider their options and not panic.
It is quite clear we need at least another right back and 1 or 2 forward players.
There are still lots of rumours about Chair leaving to Leicester... Overall Im pretty certain we are having to wait for an out before we can do anything else in and that is why is gone quiet.

At the beginning of the transfer window those deals already half-organised are made, and then there is often a period of little happening; but we are getting to the other side of the transfer window, where gaping holes must be filled and we will see a flurry of activity - including loans. We just need to make sure that other clubs and their players know that QPR is a good club to be loaned out to or even sign for! It seems that Begovic and Colback have been instrumental in achieving this, which says a lot about how well they have slotted in that they are recommending QPR to other players!!
With just one attempt on target last night's performance enhanced our need for an experienced goal scorer. We know that Sinclair Armstrong puts so much into a game that he's probably only good for one match a week. That coupled with Kelman about to be sent out on loan meant that Dykes had to play and could now be injured.
Neither Drewe or Kakay are good enough to play as a Championship wing back and whilst we saw Smyth do an excellent job against Cardiff he's player who does seem to get regular injuries.
I have only seen some highlights of last nights game but from what I saw and the match report the main positives were the performances of Alex Aoraha and Rayan Kolli who both seemed to do very well against some seasoned opponents and they might have solved some midfield issues.

Rayan Kolli really looks an exciting player, superb on the ball, moves it quick, great fast feet on him. From the same ilk as Eze, Chair, Willock etc. Looks a talented lad and I'm excited to see more of him in particular.
QPR are looking at former West Brom winger Samuel Oluwatobi and young Irish defender Cian Kelly-Caprani. Oluwatobi, a tall 18-year-old right winger, was released by West Brom at the end of last season and played for an hour in Rangers’ Development side’s 3-2 win over Cardiff at Loftus Road on Monday and scored the opening goal. Kelly-Caprani, a left-back, who has been capped at Under-18 level for his country, joined Derby from Irish League side Bohemians in 2020, but left Pride Park when his contract expired in July.
We already have a winger in Smyth and left backs in Larkeche and Paal. So are these ones for next season perhaps?
