Two games, both with late drama sees the following changes to proceedings!
BOOKINGS
Luongo has now moved up to 5 bookings, although thankfully the cut-off date for 5 yellows has now passed so he will NOT be suspended. However the real talking point here is the fact we had our first red cards of the season. This now means we will be without Mackie until our Boxing Day trip to Ipswich, meaning he'll miss Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol City (obviously unless we decide to appeal it and win). Baptiste was dismissed for a second yellow after the final whistle and will therefore just miss Leeds but will be back for Birmingham. We can't appeal that one as it was a second yellow.
APPEARANCES
Freeman missed his first game of the season at Deepdale on Saturday owing to his booking vs Brentford last Monday. This means Smithies, Bidwell and Scowen all still lead the way on 20 appearances out of 20 for us this season. The other highlight was seeing Ilias Chair get his first start of the season, where he looked very good on the ball and exciting to watch. One for the future definately. Lua Lua has now been greyed out following his return to Brighton.
GOALSCORERS
The late late show against Brentford has seen Smith move clear at the top for us with 5 goals this season, whilst Freeman moves up to 3 for the season.
GOAL TIMES
Brentfords first goal came just after Half Time, which means we're up to 9 conceded in that bracket for this season now, but after that then it was all about the late goals. Brentfords second along with Prestons winner means we've now conceded 6 in the final stages of games this season, whilst our fightback against Brentford now means we've scored 8 in the same time bracket so we can see from that we don't give up this season. Very promising signs despite constantly conceding either side of Half Time to make the teamtalka total waste of time completely different
STATS
We're now over 300 shots for the season and still only in double figures for shots on target, however this isn't totally terrible as the opposition aren't too much better than us at getting them on target. Preston only had 5 of their 20 shots on target on Saturday. We're now level on corners with 118 won and conceded, whilst the opposition continue to lead the way on fouls committed.
