1.eustace 2.rowett 3.warnock 4.beale
in our current situation id say warnock he can get blood out of a stone can make a poor set of players perform better than they normally do about the only one i could think would keep us up

I watched the 4 year plan last week and that makes me want to say Warnock.
But is he really a long term answer? Is he as good as he was in 2010?
I feel like Eustace would be a better fit if we are thinking longer term. He knows how to get the best out of Chair and Willock having been here previously. I like how far he'd managed to progress Birmingham who were struggling like we are when he arrived with years and years in the bottom half.
I would love Warnock back though. I think the only reason he hasn't announced his retirement is he knows he could get another chance to come in to QPR. He had a great relationship with Amit Bhatia too.
I genuinely think I'd take any of them over Ainsworth though right now after what Ainsworth served up against Blackburn. Even Beale. Would anybody be keener to prove themselves at QPR again than Beale? He wouldn't be able to put a foot wrong.
Eustace. I could not trust (or even want to trust) Beale; Warnock may have had one too many retirement parties; and Eustace's edges it over Rowett because he knows the club.
We need a progressive coach who can move the club forward and bring in young players who are fit and not injury prone. Apart from Beale we've had too many managers whose tactics are based in the past and are just part of the manager merry go round. We need to cast our net further afield and look for an ambitious younger manager who can attract the quality of players who are not only capable of producing in the Championship but who want to progress to the next level.
If we can't find that manager in Britain then let's look at a young foreign manager.

I like your answer stoatey but my concern is that it would take a fair bit of time to get the right young manager, especially if he is working abroad. So I think that means an interim manager if the club & the fans lose patience? Does that mean Warnock?

It's funny how we are all having this conversation like it's just so inevitable Ainsworth won't last.
I realised this morning that the next international break is only 3 weeks away starting 12 November, so it looks like they've given Ainsworth these 5 games and then they will reassess in the next 2 week gap when there are still 30 games just.
I can only see him going sooner now if we get beat badly again.

Worry when you see Beale in the Directors Box at the next home match as happened at Rangers.....
It's hard isn't it? Really a draw against a mediocre Huddersfield (sorry Huddersfield fans) will be acceptable wouldn't it? But the season won't be lost on saturday. I would like to see Ainsworth succeed (we all want him too!) but Saturday (unless we win convincingly) is simply going to add to our confusion. (Kind of like my use of brackets in this post...)

I've made this point before but IMO the appointment of Ainsworth was never going to be a success but once appointed I now find it strange that the fans condemn Beale for his "loyalty and integrity" comment, but now don't want to show loyalty and integrity to Ainsworth. The mistake in this situation was our incompetent board who gave Ainsworth a 3.5 year contract.
If any manager was to be recruited on an interim basis then it should have been Gareth. IMO Ainsworth was never really successful at Wycombe but he achieved their expectation of challenging for promotion from League One most seasons. Ainsworth like Sir Les are QPR fan favourites who were both appointed to deflect the fans anger with the board who have been a calamity for the club.
It made no business sense to appoint Sir Les because he had no DoF experience and most of us knew he was only appointed to deflect the flak from TF whilst Gareth Ainsworth was only appointed to get the fans back on side after the debacle of Beale and Critchley and to take the heat away from Sir Les. With TF and Sir Les both jumping ship we are left with RG and Ainsworth now steering the ship closer to the iceberg.
At some stage we have to allow a manager the time they need to deconstruct the team they've inherited and build their own squad. If the board truely believe that the man to take us forward is Ainsworth then we have to stick with him. This may mean that we get relegated because our squad is too old, full of sicknotes, has over paid players, and lacks quality but we can't keep appointing and sacking managers every 12 months because that's a recipe for disaster.
Our team needs a complete rebuild with a young progressive coach/manager and it probably means we have to go backwards before we can again move forward.
