These next few months as we head up to the festive period will be a case of rapid learning about the team and getting up to speed with the opponents. It is certainly a steep learning curve, but he must have confidence he can turn them around and so must the club. As with Gareth, we have to give him the benefit of the doubt and some slack for a while!

Only one good thing It’s a quick appointment And time isn’t on our side in respect of us picking up points It reminds me of Luigi De Canio appointment Knew nothing about him and he actually turned out to be pretty good in the end and quite liked by the crowd Hopefully this could go the same way It’s unfair in some ways he’s having to come in with us in such a mess and points to catch up on

Seems a very risky appointment because being an unknown he won't be given much time by the fans like Warnock would have been . Cifuentes will literally have to hit the ground running.
I can fully understand why he's been appointed though because he's a young manager with new ideas and had a great record at Hammarby where he won over 50% of his games and even got them into the Europa Conference League.
This is either going to be an absolutely inspired appointment or he'll be gone by January. I really hope it's the former.

Just literally typed this in my preview show notes. Great minds.
He either proves to be inspired or lasts as long as Critchley.
I still can't get over the fact we've announced a manager with no confirmation of how long the deal is and without any quote from the manager! Not even a standard "im very excited and happy to have this opportunity" 😆

I think they probably wanted to do this today with Cifuentes at Heston but with the game last night it was likely to come out so they rushed out an announcement He spoke after the game yesterday saying hew was exited etc just after he was introduced at the press conference as leaving to join Crystal Palace, he corrected them
this guy is smart and hes young and wont it be great if it all works out but things never go like that at QPR He needs time as i think we will play some nice football once he settles its a big shock in the football world as everybody thought warnock had good as moved in again

And this is the big question. Because do QPR have time? Hypothetical scenario of course but can we allow him to go through a 4/5 game winless streak to start with? If he doesn't start well it won't take long for the knives to come out. Imagine we try and play expansive, passing, attacking stuff and lose 5-0. I'm concerned about the reaction to something like that.
The club could have played it safe with the Warnock appointment - an appointment virtually nobody would have questioned - now they need this to go very well, very quickly.
cifuentes is obviously a good coach but deep down we all know hes come here at the wrong time its obvious warnock was the one who would of probably got us out of the brown stuff but maybe he was approached and didnt want it or we didnt offer him what he wanted personally think if warnock was available, its the wrong decision getting cifuentes, purely down to the timing hes coming on board
