Said it elsewhere, he could turn out to be an inspired choice (been on the clubs radar previously), but that doesn't mean this isn't a huge, huge gamble.
Why take this risk when Warnock is sitting there? Warnock now, this guy next summer. Fine.
But if we employ him now can you imagine the reaction if he loses the first few games?
He seems like a guy who will take a while to settle, learn the game in this country and instill his ways. We don't really have time.
northwesthoop is right, Marti Cifuentes has been in the frame before. So, it must be assumed someone at the club likes his achievements and presumably his playing style too. They are playing tonight [ko 19:00 local time] if anyone wants to see what we could expect from him.

Also, I feel Warnock's experience and contacts that he has could have been invaluable come the January transfer window.
feels a bit like when Di Canio came in out of nowhere but he did have money to spend and was given likes of Buzsaky, Vine, Ageymang etc I can't see us being able to buy much in January
They did want him last year though but his compensation was too expensive, their season ends tonight so probably easier to get him now

His side just let a 2 goal lead slip in injury time so he will fit straight in here.
I'm shocked I have to say. The club had an easy option that very few would have questioned. This needs to go very well for them. I hope it does, I have my doubts.

It’s a totally wrong decision at the wrong time If we sacked ainsworth when we should of done at the end of last season then yes this guy may of been a good choice to start this season off But not now it’s not the right time for him to come here,we are in a huge relegation battle now and this manager hasn’t warnocks ability’s at this level, not even close Whoever making the decisions at loftus road at the moment hasn’t realised what a huge gamble this is
