I'd take this as a windup by somebody at Bristol Rovers who know we're gullible for paying over the odds for somebody described as a goal scorer but in reality is a dud. It was probably written by Collins fellow striker Chris Martin who has 8 goals compared to just the 4 that Aaron Collins has scored. Probably revenge for us not signing him in the summer.
In respect of Collins he's about to enter the last year of his Bristol Rovers contract but he's not prolific and just seems like another Connor Washington or Macaulay Bonne.

I think he's a better all round player than the other past mistakes we've made. To be player of the year for the league he must have something about him and Rovers fans are gutted he could leave.

Hope not!
I'm convinced this is somebody just having a laugh. Bristol Rovers top scorer this year is Chris Martin with 8 whilst Collins only has 4.
If they did sign him though it would be typical QPR. It would be another qustion for Lee Hoos, Why when we could've signed Chris Martin for nothing in the summer do we now decide to sign a non prolific Bristol Rovers player for a fee. Maybe they see him as somebody who can create goals but that won't help us because we haven't got a finisher.

Collins does get plenty of assists and that may well be the reason we've been linked with him. It just seems strange that any money we have available would be spent on a goal provider when we don't have anyone to finish those chances.

Good point! Perhaps they are addressing the feed for the finisher and then they will go on to address the finisher next...?
