that is a massive blow to our chances of staying up he is what you call a game changer a day before one of our biggest games of the season too couldnt of happened at a worst time maybe it just wasnt meant to be this season

Terrible timing as said above and a big distraction ahead of a big game but it looks like nothing is official yet. The club seem to suggest the trial is ongoing

Could explain the Andersen signing if they knew this was coming.
If he actually does jail time you'd have to assume he would do at least 6 months even with good behaviour.
Surely his appeal will be based on having a young family, living abroad and trying to get the whole sentence suspended perhaps.
Looking ahead if the club were hoping the get a windfall from selling Chair in the summer that will be unlikely if he does do jail time. Then we need to hope he signs a new deal or he could leave for free the year after.
Just bad timing all round.

I believe that he was in the Belgian court to hear the sentence so even if he did get a flight back after the verdict I can't see him being in the right frame of mind to play tomorrow.
how i see it if hes done what hes alleged of done then he has to serve the time nobody deserves a rock thrown at their head if hes completely innocent why has he and his brother both been charged in the first place the timing of this couldnt of been worse considering how long ago this so called incident happened i think there will be a appeal as it will affect his footballing career and his reputation and QPRs too

Exactly. The appeal process could take months, so he will probably get to play on throughout much of the season. The question is rather whether he will be in the right frame of mind for Saturday's match. (If he missed the Thursday training session he will not know what tactics and set plays related to Rotherham were practised.) He has been the steady influence up front, and Willock is nowhere near as influential if asked to cover that role. Andersen is a better bet, or even Hodge perhaps?
