we will need to more clinical in front of goal from now on creating lots of chances is pointless if you dont convert the chances we have to win these so called 6 pointers not draw or lose its as simple as that to stay up last night we should of won but a dodgy ref didnt help and their keeper also wasnt bad to be fair
Marti quoted on the BBC website about the missed handball/ref's performance:
"I've been told that West Brom played with two keepers for a while. I'm not here to complain. I'm here to make sure my team is better, so if we need to play against two keepers then we need to practice playing against two keepers."

What a guy!
Love that he can be so relaxed about it - I would be fuming!
went to the game yesterday gents, and I've a lot of sympathies for the referee regarding the Kipré handball. Not a single person in the crowd in the Upper Loft saw it. There were no cries of handball at all from any body.
Without VAR that was impossible to see Both Kipre and the goalkeeper jumped at a similar angle The ball flew in fast you would of had to really been eagle eyed to spot that The sooner they get VAR in the lower leagues the better

Sorry but no! No!!
I'd genuinely rather us miss out on that Kipre decision than have VAR. VAR makes as many ridiculous decisions as the refs.
And there must be nothing worse than celebrating a goal, thinking you've won a game and then 2 minutes later its disallowed for something that was absolutely not a 'clear and obvious' error.
VAR would probably have disallowed Sam Fields equaliser for a push by Jimmy Dunne in the build up or something else ridiculous!
Its probably best left how it is as you said its silly celebrating a goal one minute then seeing it chalked off after VAR have looked at it football is about being unpredictable and unfair referee decisions can work both ways for and against normally even out over time and we can moan afterwards but sometimes decisions do work in our favour
There's nothing wrong with VAR as a system. It works well in rugby, the NFL, etc, etc. In fact, in rugby they are so confident in its use they broadcast the conversation between the review booth and on-pitch official.
The issue is the quality/knowledge of the people working it in football.
And as for the idea of, without VAR, getting as many dodgy refereeing calls in our favour as against, I'm not convinced. Remember the ludicrously disallowed Charlie Austin goal versus Sunderland denying us a glorious and lucraative quarter final place in the League Cup a couple of seasons back? And for any old timers, the weirdly disallowed Gary Micklewhite rocket that robbed us of what would have been an FA Cup Final win in 1982? I know, I need to let it go...

That didn't need VAR though, that just needed an official with eyes and like you said yourself an understanding of the game.
I'm convinced that with VAR in the play off final it gives a foul against Hoilett when Zamora scores or some ridiculous penalty to Derby for a pull by a defender at a corner.
I think I'd only support VAR if they had a time limit. 20-30 seconds. Once they are having to micro analyse a decision and look at 7 different angles and zoom in then its not clear and obvious so play continues. It goes too far and makes decisions that you'd never get given in normal play.

Which is the point of VAR - dealing with exactly these mistakes due to no eyes, no brain, no understanding.
But yes, micro-analysis is not the point of any VAR system, clear/obvious error is. Both the Kipre handball and Austin disallowed goal would be dealt with in seconds as clear errors.
If VAR is used in a situation, there should be a time limit. 30 seconds, or a minute maximum. If it can't be overturned in that time, then the original on field decision should stand.
