The bigger problem than VAR is the poor match officials we endure in the Championship. I hate to think what it is like in League Two! I still cannot understand why an 'assistant' needs to get an indication from the ref before flagging a ball for/against the side when it goes off. Can they not make any more decisions themselves? whilst we are on the subject of making decisions, why when the assistant does indicate with their flag a decision from near the incident does the ref consider he can overrule it (being several players and half a pitch away)? QUESTION: When will a referee award a penalty for hauling down attackers in the area when a corner is taken? ANSWER: Never (but they really should if we are not to incorporate wrestling into the game)!
