We play Reading on 27 July at their stadium. Not sure if this is our first 'warm-up' match, but it is Reading's seconds.
Out of interest, Reading ended up 17th in League One after being relegated. Nothing should be taken as certain when it comes to relegation.... We should still be breathing sighs of relief!
I presume we will announce another match for the Saturday before the season and a tour beforehand
We usually start with 1/2 matches against lower League clubs, like Wimbledon, then go on tour, then finish with 2/3 matches in the run up to the season.
I wonder if Marti will take us to Spain or will it be the usual Austria/Germany
This seasons pre season games will hopefully, give us more hope than the disastrous pre season of 2023/24 when it identified weaknesses in all areas of the squad.
Providing Marti is allowed to bring in more quality the first few pre season games will be about getting the squad fit and understanding the managers systems whilst building up to a test against better opposition in the last couple of friendlies.
Latest pre-season match to be added to the list is:
Saturday 20 July = QPR v Tottenham Hotspur 3pm
Now that should be interesting, as that is over a month since transfers started to happen and after they have been together in Spain. Should be a good indication of how the squad will perform in the 2024/2025 season, and especially as it is against a PL side.

As suggested by northwesthoop any Spurs players involved in the Euros will almost certainly be off on their holidays but it will be a good work out for both teams and it should generate some income. I'd imagine that they will still be able to field some very good players like Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski who will test our defence.
Brighton at home on the final Saturday before the start of the season. Already I think that's a really good pre-season list of fixtures. I felt last year was very underwhelming.
