Welcome to Home and Away Season 3.
First to remind you how it works. Each week I’ll select a list of 10 matches, generally from the Premier League and the Championship. Your challenge is to pick one home winner and one away winner. And that’s all there is to it.
The scoring is pretty simple too.
- If both your picks win you score 3 points (i.e. a win)
- If one of your picks wins you score 1 point (i.e. a draw)
- If neither wins you score 0 points (i.e. a loss)
Goal difference will separate players equal on points:
- First we’ll look for the player with the higher number of winning teams picked across the season.
- Next we’ll look for the lowest number of losing teams picked across the season.
- Finally we’ll look at the aggregate goal difference achieved by all the teams picked across the season.
The league will last for 30 rounds (approximately). After that the eventual champion will be decided by play-offs which will involve the top 8 in the league. This year I will be running the play-offs using more of a league approach like northwesthoop's Euro 2024 competition. More details later. For now, the thing is to finish as high as you can in the league.

- Cardiff v Sunderland
- Hull v Bristol City
- Leeds v Portsmouth
- Middlesbrough v Swansea
- Millwall v Watford
- Stoke v Coventry
- Sheff Wed v Plymouth
- Luton v Burnley
- Birmingham v Reading
- Peterborough v Huddersfield
All I need is one home team and one away team that you think will win.
Entries by 11am on Saturday 10th August (as most of the Championship matches kick off at 12.30).
