QPR Prediction League 2024/25 - Match 1 Results

Thank you to everybody who has taken the time to get involved this season including newbies fulwich, wuggywoody and thorperanger!
It proved to be a tough opening day though for the R's and only qprallan and Rosco Bosco predicted a defeat, although neither went for 3-1
thorperanger had a debut to remember getting Andersen as first scorer to get off to a fine start, whilst last seasons Champion LurkR also had the Dane along with absolutecaulker and QPRBex. Rosco Bosco got a back up point with Maja.
The first goal came on 16 so that gave 3 points to Ricardo Rangers, SydneyR, ranger-boy, the returning minxymartin, daveb, Ghost and loftussi
Stoke won 1-0 which gave the full 3 bonus points to ashqpr - the only player to go 1-0 Stoke.
The top scorer on the opening day was absolutecaulker who scored 7 points to move top of The Championship. thorperanger had a good start with 6.
In the top flight LurkR and QPRBex both got 6 to sit 3 clear of the closest challengers on day 1.
The bottom 5 in both divisions are in alphabetical order after all failing to score or get the goal difference game correct.
topo79 spent the whole of last season working his way up to the top flight but failed to enter but will hopefully be back next week.
Remember this opening phase of the season lasts 15 matches then we have promotion and relegation. If everybody sticks with us I will consider changing the number of teams in each league.
Please do check your scores and just flag up if I ever make an error. I do try my best but it's a totally manual process
