It always seems to happen when there is a very popular prediction - it proves to be wrong. This week we had 2 examples: 20 picked Sunderland to win at Plymouth but they lost. 13 picked Palace to beat Leicester and they only drew.
We also had 7 picking Watford to beat Coventry and they also drew.
So it was a low scoring week with only 16 points scored. absolutecaulker, NoahHoop, QPRBex and I got Blackburn's win over Bristol City. CutePR and daveb got Derby's win over Cardiff. jrperry1882, qprfcfromwhitecity and qprallan got Newcastle's win at Wolves. And the most popular correct prediction was West Brom at Portsmouth, which was predicted by jimjams, loftussi, LurkR, NoahHoop and QPRBex.
Well done QPRBex and NoahHoop for picking 2 winners in a tricky week. QPRBex storms up from 22nd to joint 3rd and NoahHoop moves off the bottom and up to 21st.
ashqpr's lead at the top is cut to 1 point by jimjams. There are 7 other players just one point further back.
I drop to the bottom of the table in spite of picking up a point this week. kensalr is above me on goal difference only. It's early days but kensalr has some work to do to keep up his brilliant record in the this game. He was winner in 2022/3 and finalist in 2023/4.
