Apologies for the lack of updates over the festive period, but here we all go in one!
BOOKINGS;
Bidwell picked up a booking against Bristol City which moves him on to 5 for the season, whilst Wszolek picked up his second of the season at Millwall. Smyth had a very memorable debut against cardiff as he collected his first booking along with his goal whilst Freeman also saw yellow against the Bluebirds to move on to 6 for the season, the joint most along with Luongo. Remember it's 10 bookings for a 2 match ban so both will be looking over their shoulder at that now. Josh Scowen obviously picked up a red at Ipswich on Boxing Day and therefore was suspended for our trip to Millwall.
GOALS;
Not as many goals to mention as would've all hoped, but another goal for Matt Smith against Cardiff means he opens the gap as our top scorer now on 6. Paul Smyth is the latest player to get on the scoresheet after his debut to remember, and Bristol City saw the first Own Goal of the season to be scored for us.
GOAL TIMES;
Plenty of times to mention here so lets hope all this makes sense! Flints OG against Bristol City was scored between 31-45 to move us on to 4 goals scored in that time, whilst Reids penalty was scored late on, meaning we've now conceded 8 times during the final stages of play this season. Steve Morisons first goal of the season for Millwall was scored (surprise surprise) very soon after Half Time, as was Ralls goal for Cardiff on NYD meaning we've now conceded 12 times just after Half Time. However our two goals against Cardiff came midway through the second half to double our 61-75 goals scored tally from 2 to 4 for the season.
APPEARANCES;
Grant Hall made his first start for us since our defeat at home to Brighton last season to ease our defensive concerns even more. Bright Osayi-Samuel has now started 3 times for us after playing against Bristol City and Millwall whilst Alex Smithies and Jake Bidwell are now the only players to have started in all 26 league games for us this season. Caulker has obviously been released and so has been greyed out, whilst on the flip side Paul Smyth is on the list after his game against Cardiff as is Aramide Oteh after his two substitute appearances over the festive period. Sylla is now up to 10 starts and 10
appearances off the bench whilst Smith is up to 17 substitute appearances.
OTHER STATS;
We're now up to over 370 shots this season but only 115 on target. Our opponents have had less shots on target but less shots in total. We're behind by 13 corners and have committed 3 fouls more.
