How many BEM candidates were interviewed for the job of ladies manager of England. Another case of the FA not practicing what they preach yet again. The same was done with the full England managers job. No BEM interviewed. Also Phil neville under fire already over previous comments. Not much research done by the FA.
I agree. I can only think Neville was given the role to raise the profile of Women's footer - whatever reason can there be? Same applies with Ryan Giggs as manager of the Wales national side! The FA is a bureaucratic nightmare from all I am hearing elsewhere. For example, they are very keen to establish themselves (belatedly) as the body for Walking Football (having been very sniffy about it in the past), but this seems to be purely to make money whilst they stifle the game. Whereas the Walking Football Association has been there from the start and runs a lean, mean footballing machine that deserves to run the sport. The FA is a typical example of a governing body that has become bloated whilst relying upon its past glory.

It is a stupid rule anyway in my opinion. If they are bothered about this issue they should just insist that all applications should have the names/ethnicity etc removed. Anonymous.
They shouldn't HAVE to interview people whether they are white, black or pink with yellow spots.
I want a job because I deserve it, not because I ticked Chinese or Black on the form.
Political correctness gone mad.

That has been my view all along NORTHWEST. Best person gets the job no matter what background.
..and if you are right Pamm then the FA ignored lots of (probably far better) qualified coaches in going straight for Neville. It makes a mockery of interviewing and HR practices!
