Here are the results of Round 2 of our Prediction Cup trial.
Nobody went for 3-0 to Man City but stoatey, LurkR, ranger-boy, Ghost, SydneyR, CutePR and Rosco Bosco did get Aguero as first scorer
singlespeed, Ghost and ranger-boy called Match 2 bang on going 2-1 to Man Utd
Rosco Bosco called Match 3 between Feyenoord and PSV 1-3 exactly in a great call
There were 14 bookings in the 3 matches
The results show how differently a knockout can work out depending on the draw. pamment8 goes through with just 6 points scored in Round 2 as his opponent QPRsmith only scored 3. Whereas Ghost goes out despite scoring a phenomenal 18 as he was up against Rosco Bosco who took home 21 points out of 30! As Ghost has a better goal difference he would have gone through against anybody else in the draw.
SydneyR and ranger-boy both progress comfortably at the expense of surrey chad and LurkR respectively. stoatey also goes through so we say goodbye to qprallan 15 points to 9.
In a closer battle CutePR needed 15 points to get past singlespeed who did well in defeat scoring 12.
Interestingly the top 6 players from Round 1 all defeated the bottom 6 players from Round 1. There were technically no 'shocks' going off the Round 1 scores.
QUARTER FINALS
Here is how the Quarter Finals will shape up then, the winners of Ties 1, 3 and 5 will be in Group A, the winners of ties 2, 4 and 6 will be in Group B for the Quarter Finals.

The Top 2 from each group will go through to form the Semi Finals. Only 1 player will drop out from each group in these Quarter Finals.
