It seems like forever since the last update but we are into the final straight now with just over a months worth of matches to decide everything! And the match against Reading may well have gone a long way to deciding our champion... read on...
Nobody got the 1-0 defeat but onenightfever, singlespeed and myself did predict the QPR defeat.
QPRBex did incredibly well to get Aluko as first scorer - the only player to do so, a cracking call.
pamment8 and singlespeed got the early first goal time
qprallan, LurkR, QPRBex, SydneyR and stoatey got the 2-1 Wolves away win exact
So the decisive move is leader QPRBex scoring 9 points. With 2nd place Rosco Bosco failing to score for only the second time in 17 matches it means a 3 point lead becomes a colossal looking 12 point cushion with 7 games to go. It is the biggest lead at the top of the season to date.
It is almost certainly just a 2 way fight for the title now between that pair too as MCM Hoop, who was well in contention until the last few matches, failed to score for the 3rd consecutive match and drops to 4th on goal difference behind qprallan. Both are 20 points off the top which is almost impossible to catch now. Speaking of qprallan he has scored for 11 matches in a row and incredibly could be on the verge of a medal place after picking up a wooden spoon in each of the last 2 seasons!
I've moved up from 11th to 9th with kingfisher dropping out of the top 10 in the fight to start next season in Division 1 when the competition splits into a 2 tier format. It remains a fierce fight though with stoatey in 13th on a good run of form and just 5 points off the top half.
At the bottom minxymartin drops back to the bottom after a 1 match hiatus as his consistent run of scoring came to a halt. pamment8's 3 points are enough to move off the bottom and to within 6 points of safety. onenightfever is now just 1 point away from QPRsmith whilst surrey chad and SydneyR are definitely in the wooden spoon scrap now along with zantor who sadly looks like he has left the competition.
singlespeed did well this round scoring 7 points and he is a bit of no mans land almost, looking safe but perhaps too far from securing a Division 1 berth for next season.
