Both games over Easter have seen two strong performances from what I've heard, but only one positive result. Let's see it all in writing!
BOOKINGS
A booking for Freeman against Reading and bookings for Lynch in both games mean we now have our first players to hit double figures for the season on cards, although no alarm needed as the deadline for 10 bookings has already passed. Luongo is down to 3rd now after a booking against Norwich sees him move up to 9 for the season.
APPEARANCES
Smithies is the first player to reach 40 league starts for us this season with Bidwell, Freeman and Scowen all right behind him. Cousins is now up to 10 starts for us and Eze has now made 13 appearances since returning from Wycome (both starting and off the bench). Smith is now up to 15 starts and Sylla has made his first appearance in a long time, coming off the bench for the 11th time against Norwich.
GOALS
Despite drawing a blank at the Madejski, we managed to hit 4 goals against Norwich and with 4 different scorers. Smith moves on to 9 for the season whilst Luongo moves level with Washington on 6. Both Eze and Manning are up to 2 after their strikes against the Canaries.
FIRST GOAL TIME
This is a new table that could be useful to those who take part in the prediction competition when it comes to choosing the goal time. As you can see from here, the most popular time by some way for the opening goal is just before Half Time, hence why that's my favourite time to always go for. Only once has an opening goal come late in a game this season and that was in our 1-0 defeat to Preston back in December.
GOAL TIMES
This next table is different to usual. After pamment8 mentioned in the last update about getting different stats for home & away games, I've tried to bring this in where I've seen a chance to. The number in bold is the total goals scored/conceded and the two numbers next to that show the numbers at Loftus Road and on the road.
For example: the 11/6 for the 76-90 Scored bracket shows we've scored 11 times at home late on in games and 6 times away. The one next to that shows we've conceded 8 time late on at home and 3 away.
The home stats will always be the number on the left whilst the one on the right will be away.
MATCH OUTCOMES
We're now up to 13 wins for the season (10 at home and 3 away) following the Easter Monday win whilst we're up to 16 losses (5 at home and 11 away) following Good Friday. We'e drawn 11 times this season, 5 at home and 6 away.
OTHER STATS
Our 44 shots across the two games have seen out shot count rise to just under 600 and yet we still can't find the net as often as we should. This shows again just how much we need a good striker to fnish these chances off, but maybe the youngsters will be the start of that. We've had corners fewer than the opposition and have committed 11 fouls less than the opposition.
