QPR fell to a defeat against Brentford and it was a result that has gone a long way to settling the title...
qprallan, Ghost, e17hoop, QPRBex and kingfisher all went for the exact 2-1 Brentford win
kingfisher, SydneyR, ranger-boy, MCM Hoop and Ghost got the 16-30 goal time but it was a close one this week with the goal coming on 16 minutes
Only surrey chad and I got the bonus match 1-2 away win exact
I've usually mentioned the first scorer by now but I've saved it for last as QPRBex called Canos correctly and in doing so pretty much has 2 hands on the title. A fantastic prediction from our champion elect and with 12 points this round he moves into a 21 point lead. Most players have only had 1 or 2 first scorer predictions correct this season but QPRBex has had 5 and that makes all the difference!
It is actually now Ghost who is closest to QPRBex moving to second ahead of Rosco Bosco whose title challenge faded away in recent weeks. Rosco was top after Match 37 but QPRBex has romped away since! Ghost is 2 clear of Rosco Bosco and they look set to battle it out for 2nd. QPRBex will be champion next time out with a game to spare unless Ghost scores at least 3 points more than the leader.
The gap to 4rd has increased to 7 points but MCM Hoop, qprallan and e17hoop all have an outside chance of sneaking a medal place. Even kingfisher, who has quietly crept up from the bottom half to 7th place, may have a chance of catching up.
In the battle to finish in the top half I have a 4 point buffer over CutePR who climbs from 13th to 11th ahead of ashqpr and stoatey who are both very much still in contention.
At the bottom nobody picked up any points so minxymartin stays bottom and pamment8 missed out on a chance to move above QPRsmith. SydneyR picked up 3 points to move a little closer to safety. It does look now like it is a battle between pamment8 and QPRsmith over who avoids the last wooden spoon place.
