As we headed into the final round Ghost was hoping to seal a pretty sensational Hoops & Dreams 'double' by adding the inaugural Dream R's title to his QPR Prediction Competition title.
Could he manage it?
Yes he could! Although QPRsmith scored more in the final round the deficit was too great and Ghost is the Dream R's champion. His squad 'The Dribblers' will go down in history as the first champions in our new home. Congratulations Ghost (again!)
QPRsmith has to settle for a silver medal which is much better than his wooden spoon in the Prediction Competition. SydneyR takes the bronze medal thanks to a brilliant transfer window. SydneyR wasn't even inside the top 10 in the first half of the season but bringing in Eze and Luongo in particular made an emphatic difference!
itzmagic and myself round out the top 5 whilst ranger-boy pipped qprallan to 9th on the last day.
The wooden spoons go to qprkiwi , lancshoop and bottom of the table pd66qpr whose side 'QPR Northampton' will be remembered as the first squad to ever finish last!
The awards are all below in the next posts.
In terms of the QPR players themselves Luke Freeman was the the star Dream R's player with 405 points. Josh Scowen was second on 360 whilst Massimo Luongo slipped to 3rd on 345 whilst having a lovely holiday instead of playing the last few games. A strong second half of the season saw Matt Smith 4th on 316 with Jake Bidwell pipping Smithies to 5th.
Here is the full list of player scores:
And here is the 2017/18 Dream R's Final Table:
Thank you everybody for playing, this game needs a lot of players so without you I'd have no game!
We will be back in July and note next season Dream R's will start before the season rather than after the transfer window so keep checking in and be ready to start dreaming up your fantasy squad once again. Tell your friends!
