Martin, no - and I'm not sure what he gives us that Matt Smith doesn't already give us.
Totally agree about Chris Martin - especially as his scoring/assist record is nowhere near as good as Matt Smith's! If that is what we wanted we could hang onto Washington.
I thought that the clubs policy is to get rid of our high earners, sign young players cheaply, develop their skills and sell for a profit.
Chris Martin will be 30 in November and is currently on a £30k/week contract that runs to July 2020. I can understand why Derby would want to offload such a high earner as Chris Martin but aren't we doing the same in getting rid of Caulker and Onuhoa?
