Firstly, apologies for the delay, I'd completely forgotten that I hadn't uploaded these yet!
Right here we are at the end of a long hard season. It's not been the prettiest or most effective season we've had, but at the end of the day it was a step up from last season where we only finished 3 points above the drop zone. As poor as this season has been, it's been a bit more progress than last season.
Right enough of me waffling on, lets have some figures!
BOOKINGS
Scowen ends the season as our most booked player with 11. Lynch, Freeman and Scowen are the other players to have hit double figures for cards this season whilst Bidwell ended up on 9. These 5 players brought in 50 yellows between them this season.
This brings our total yellows for this season up to 86 along with 5 reds. This may seem a lot but works out at just under 2 cards per game so not so bad overall. 21 differnet players ended up with a card at some point this season.
APPEARANCES
Jake Bidwell ends the season with the most appearances with 45 out of the 46 games. The only one he missed was at home to Barnsley back in February. Behind Bidwell for appearances is Freeman (with 43 league starts & 2 league sub appearances meaning he was involved in 45 league matches, the only one he missed was Preston due to suspension) and Scowen (with 43 league starts and no appearances off the bench).
Smithies and Smith are the only other two payers to get over 40 appearances this season for us, with Smithies having 42 starts & 1 sub appearance for 43 and Smith having 17 starts & 25 sub appearances for 42. The other good thing about this season is the extended run in the side that the youngsters have had this season: players such as Osayi-Samuel, Eze and Smyth getting 48 league appearances between them this season. Hopefully this paves the way for the future!
GOALS
Smith ends the season as our leading scorer with 11, with Sylla just 4 goals behind him in 2nd. Luongo and Washington are both in joint 3rd with 6 goals each. The only Own Goal to go for us this season was Aidan Flints for Bristol City in our 1-1 draw back in December.
This season has seen 18 different QPR players find the back of the net in the league this season (19 if you include the OG). Remember this only takes the league in to account which means Ngbakoto and Furlong have also scored for us this season back in August in the Carabao Cup.
Who can forget some of the more noteable goals this season from those who didn't score often; Robinsons double at Birmingham, Smyth scoring on his debut for that lovely win over Cardiff, Scowen finding the top corner against his former employers, Wheeler silencing the Riverside Stadium in less than 2 minutes and Wszolek halting Fulhams long winning run. So many to choose from for the season!
GOAL TIMES
Whoever comes in to relace Holloway, let's just hope they can make us a team who isn't so generous either side of Half Time. we conceded 70 goals this season with 34 coming just either side of Half Time. However the out of our goals scored this season, 28 have come in the final 30 minutes of matches. A very good trend to keep up for next season!
MATCH OUTCOMES
This season has seen us win 15 times (12 times at home and 3 away) for a total win percentage of 33%.
This season has seen us draw 11 times (5 times at home and 6 away) for a total draw percentage of 24%.
This season has seen us lose 20 times (6 times at home and 14 away) for a total lose percentage of 43%.
So overall out home form hasn't been bad at all, whilst our away from doesn't need any words to describe it.
This link shows the home & away tables for the whole season.
As the above link shows, if the season was just 23 home games then we would've finished 2 points outside the play-offs, however if it was just 23 away games then we would've been relegated.
TIME OF FIRST GOAL
This shows that the majority of times the first goal was scored was just before Half Time. Only once has a games opening goal come at the end of a match and that was away to Preston back in December.
STATS
Over the course of the seaspn we have had 659 shots with 213 on target. Compared to this we have faced 586 shots with 200 on target. We've earned 45 corners less than our opponents and earned 16 fouls more (whether they be free-kicks or penalties)
