I thought parachute payments were for 4 years after relegation? If this is the last one it means the payment at the end of the relegation season was classed as a first parachute payment?

Hopefully it means we should get one more payment at the end of 2018/19. I think that;Until the 2016/17 season, parachute payments were paid to all relegated clubs for four seasons. But the system was changed and the teams now only receive it for the following three seasons. The money will stop if the team is promoted back into the Premier League in this time.A club that has only been in the Premier League for one season will only receive two payments.
