Right now, having lost 3 keys players and only brought one in to replace I cant see us getting top 10. I think we have enough to avoid relegation but it could be a long, hard season again. We need to tie down some of our younger players to longer terms contracts as we have a lot coming through, Eze only has 12 months left and could be pivotal this year.

We really REALLY need a striker.

I can't see us finishing anywhere other than around the same place.

We have got largely the same squad minus our best player in Smithies and best defender in Onuoha. We haven't added any quality and seem to be relying on McClaren being some kind of god coach to turn the same 16th placed place squad into a top 10 side?

To get promoted you need a real star like Taarabt or lethal striker like Austin. We have neither. We are just an ok team.

I assume the board think that Eze, Smyth, Samuel etc are going to all become star men but if they don't we can't expect our position to improve greatly.

From 18th to 16th to perhaps 14th in my eyes.

No way we are relegation standard unless the goalkeepers prove to be woeful and we don't sign more defenders.

As I said elsewhere though 80% of the teams in the league this season have been in the premier league before, there are no Burtons or whipping boys. A tough league.

Starting roughly from the same point for the last 2 year.

Hopefully we will get 3 or 4 new signings to replace the ones that have left before that start of the season, and although I did not want Holloway to leave I will support Mclaren all the way.

Forever optimistic that we will do better than the year before an easy top half Finnish. and then push on from there the following season. ( with the same manager please)

We've lost a few key players but hopefully we'll find suitable replacements and the youngsters will develop a bit more. And maybe, just maybe, McClaren can help that.

Our midfield is decent and I hope we manage to get through the transfer window without selling Luongo, Freeman or Scowen. Up front we lack an out and out goal scorer but maybe Eze could be that man. Smyth looked promising last season and hopefully he can improve further and nail down a regular first team place. Overall I think we will struggle and again be in the lower half of the Championship.

Things might be going on in the background but I fully expected Sir Les and his scouting team to have supplied McClaren with a list of centre backs that would replace Onuoha and Robinson. Action always speaks louder than words and the fact we have only signed Tony Leistner is a bit worrying. Wimbledon exposed us aerially at the weekend and Lynch wasnt great. Ingram made some good saves and kept us from conceding. As I see things we are going to be heavily reliant on our youngsters.
