Ipswich, Peterborough and QPR have apparently all agreed a fee (c. £2m) with Accrington for their 24yo striker Kayden Jackson. Last season he did well and scored 16 goals but his career record is 49 goals in 187 games.
Do we think this is real? Someone has obviously seen something in him if so. Lots of links online saying that he's about to join Ipswich.
Like so many players we are linked with you have to be sceptical until they officially join the club. A lot is misinformation put around by agents and clubs to increase wage offers and transfer fees. Im not saying that this is the case but I suspect that even the QPR hierarchy are not adverse to spreading a bit of fake news regarding transfers just to keep the fans happy. Unfortunately we have seen some of our better players leave the club in recent months and this hasn't sat well with the fans. By being linked with players in the media (whether it's true or false) makes it appear that Sir Les and his team are earning their money and keeps the fans excited that new signings are about to happen.
