QPR Prediction Cup - League Cup 2018/19 - Round 1 - Results

Here are the results from Round 1 of our League Cup knockout prediction cup for 2018/19:
ashqpr, savoyhoop, CutePR, pamment8, SydneyR, QPRsmith and Ghost all did well getting the 2-0 QPR win exact
ranger-boy was the only player who got Reading's 2-0 win bang on
Nobody got Freeman as first scorer for QPR but qprallan impressively called Meite as first scorer for Reading!
In the main QPR match only minxymartin and pamment8 got the early goal time whilst in Matches 3 and 4 nobody picked up more than 3 points in either game.
There were only 5 bookings across the 4 games. Qualification this time did not come down to that but ranger-boy forgot to enter an amount so is given the worst score another player managed which is 13 from SydneyR. That means ranger-boy takes 2nd behind pamment8, they both scored 16 to move comfortably through regardless of goal difference.
The bottom 5 who bow out to leave us with 16 players in Round 2 are northwesthoop , @singlespeed , kingfisher , LurkR and surrey chad . None of us managed more than 6 points and the cut off point was 7 points. This is the 3rd cup we have run now and I am the only player to go out in Round 1 each time. A stat I'd rather not have to point out!
LurkR was slightly unlucky as he entered twice so his second entry was treated as an edit and used for the results. His first entry would have seen him through, his second didn't.
There were some exact ties further up the leaderboard with round 1 score, GD, highest individual match score, exact scores predicted all tied. This then went down to league points so far this season which puts ashqpr ahead of savoyhoop and stoatey ahead of e17hoop but it matters little, they are all through to Round 2 and the placing only impacts the draw for the next round.

Round 2
In Round 2 position 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15, 3 plays 14 and so on illustrating no fixing of the draw and the higher placed players benefit by playing a lower ranked player (on paper!). It is all head to head battles from here on in!
That leaves us with the following Round 2 line up of 16 players still in with a chance of getting 10 bonus points for the QPR Prediction League:
Tie 1: pamment8 Vs Rosco Bosco
Tie 2: ranger-boy Vs QPRBex
Tie 3: Ghost Vs MCM Hoop
Tie 4: qprallan Vs e17hoop
Tie 5: QPRsmith Vs stoatey

The points all reset to zero. Round 1 score and GD only come into play if there are any further ties which becomes less likely anyway as more predictions kick in anyway.
Round 2 will be available to enter following the draw on Thursday so keep your eyes peeled
