That was a surprise for me too! I was looking for Manning to do more this year but I recognise it would have been difficult from the benches. If Rotherham do give him match time then I think he will come back far stronger and smarter. Wish him well as really like his ability.
Another head scratcher for me. If he had been loaned out with the proviso that he could be recalled at any time, perhaps.
Scowen and Freeman have (so far) been good, but after that I would be looking at Manning. Luongo - who I rate very highly normally - has not been at the races at all so far this season, really poor. Manning is better than Cousins. I am better than Goss
The more games he can get the better it will be for the player and the club. He would only be on the fringes of our squad so I see this as a win win win providing he turns out each week for Rotherham. We win because he should get valuable game time, Manning wins because he should get more game time than he would at QPR and Rotherham win because they get a good young player who will benifit their team.
The only real drawback is that we are loaning one of our better young players to a Championship rival and this could come back and bite us on the bum.
I see the benefit for Manning assuming that he plays more than he would for us. But it seems like a very strange move for the club. We could do with him in the squad (especially when we get injuries) and why would we want to strengthen a relegation rival?
Rotherham isn't exactly a great choice He's just going to be in a relegation battle all season If he doesn't play every game then it would of been pointless him going there
