and then you woke up
Allardyce is a shoe in for a job at any of the first few Premier League clubs to get itchy feet.
It would be hard to argue with the decision if we sack McClaren. However who really would want to join us/replace him with realistically?
Bottom of the league Squad with zero confidence No money to spend Transfer window is shut Embargo in January so a new manager cannot overhaul the squad
We should never have got rid of Holloway. Now we are suffering.
Yeah I woke up And want to top myself Only Holloway and Neil warnock would get us out of this mess Warnock is the only manager who would keep us up But he's in the premier league now
I think we are just going to have to take it on the chin and accept that it's going to be a long season We have all the ingredients that point towards relegation It's grim and it's bloody depressing right now

Totally agree with you, we do just have to take it on the chin.
It is too early to know for sure we are going down but the signs are certainly there.
I'm all for manager changes only happening in transfer windows like player signings. We buggered up changing the manager and should have to stick with what we have.
The club made a shocking decision getting rid of Holloway who guaranteed a bit of stability and consistency.
I keep asking why on earth did we need to change manager this summer? What did the owners really think a new manager could achieve?
They signed hardly anyone preseason They got rid of our best players They bought nobody in the transfer window What did the board expect McClaren do I thinks it's unfair to totally blame him but the way we are playing and the body language of the players looks to me like he's completely lost the dressing room right now
We will need a manager who knows league one well Mcclaren will be gone very soon, could be even today It's inevitable that with our circumstances and FFP fine that has hit us damn hard Yes we could get a good loan striker and defenders that are far better than we have On paper we are not that bad a side and maybe if we get the balance right we may and that's a big if escape relegation It's too soon maybe to give all the doom and gloom but we made a mediocre side look good last night We had 2 good chances from washington and eze but the confidence had just completely gone We need to keep the football simple and boring if we have to,it's not entertaining but it must be better than watching us get battered every week

Like that idea as it would make clubs think twice and then twice again before making appointments!
As to a replacement manager, you would need to know if you were appointing for the Championship or League 1 before selecting a replacement IMHO. Having said that, Shaun Derry anyone...?
Former player Paul Parker said last night on radio that McClaren is just the wrong manager for QPR His style isn't suited to our average team Touting ideal person would be mick McCarthy who can get the best out of every player and the type of manager we could do with
I loved Shaun Derry but honestly don't think this is the moment for him.
The players clearly aren't fighting enough and clearly aren't playing for the manager so if McClaren goes we need a 'hard bastard' manager who goes back to basics and gets the players sweating blood to get results.
Holloway was largely doing that but there is no way the club will get Holloway back. The only person I can think of is Mick McCarthy.
We need to be realistic if we do consider potential candidates as the job is incredibly tough given our position, form and upcoming embargo.
It's the way we are losing that hurts The team is all over the show they should give 110% as corny as it sounds, not just stand around like a pub team There's no effort,no passion and look clueless at the moment If we got stuck in and at least tried to get something it wouldn't feel so bad McClaren isn't the right type of manager for the players we have, mick McCarthy and Neil warnock would get that extra effort out of the players that McClaren can't at the moment
