General 'Championship' Thread 2018 - 2021

Following us beating Cardiff they sacked Neil Harris and have now appointed Mick McCarthy. These managers just go from club to club achieving next to nothing and making pots of money.

Football owners who in most cases are successful businessmen must get totally baffled when they interview these guys. Never was there a truer statement than 'bullshit baffles brains' Managers like Warburton, Mccarthy, McClaren etc., constantly under perform but just go from one job to the next and get paid thousands if not millions for what they do best, failure!

My sentiments entirely! Changing for changes sake, rather than giving a manager enough time to get the right team together and play his way, never makes sense to me. stoatey is right to question the continued hiring of under-achieving managers (and you have to wonder why no consultancy has got involved by now in analysis/interview candidates); but clubs equally need to look at two seasons minimum for a positive trend to be confirmed, or vica versa. Get the right candidate appointed and give them the resources to succeed (within budget of course)!

Are Financial Fair Play limitations still being enforced, or did they stop when we got caught?

and forest and Birmingham and Watford and so many others that are clearly in breach.

IMO the issue remains that Warburton is tactically inept and the majority of our players are League 1 standard at best. As things stand the only players that were worth their place in the team up until Christmas were Dieng, Barbet, Dickie, BOS and Chair. Just 5 decent players!

BOS has now gone but we have replaced him with the loan signings of Austin and Johanson so currently we have just 6 decent players.

We are a club that has been mismanaged by the owners from day one. TF and his mates have wasted millions, sold or lost our best players and done everything whilst hiding behind their smoke and mirrors propaganda of promising a new stadium and training ground.

We will continue to decline until there are changes from top to bottom.

It would be nice, just for once, not to have a period in the season where we worry about relegation......
