Strikers

Perhaps we can have a fire sale...?

One point I would like to make regarding strikers: McClaren has stated that not replacing quality players was a major reason for the sh*t start to this season. Now we have secured two strikers that he must have wanted, so no more excuses on that front!

As long as we do not expect to much to soon.
The manager is not to blame for the squad we have.
For two years we have been poor at the back and likewise up front.
That's the fault of the recruitment.

I'm excited about the new strikers
But we still haven't addressed our issues at the back
10 goals in 2 games its obvious we need to sort our defence out too
I hope they now are going to address our other weak area and probably the most important one
No point getting goal scorers if we keep letting goals in

I like Sylla! He never gets a chance...

Sylla is an anomaly, I often find myself laughing at him on the pitch. I just personally find him too inconsistent. He is also often totally anonymous and can at times look like he has never played football in his life!

There was a period last season where he played in 18 out of 21 games in a row (including 6 starts in a row). So he has had a chance, he is just too inconsistent to take his chances and then drops out of the team because he hasn't done enough to warrant staying in it.

Maybe it feels like he didn't get a chance because we forget he had these chances because he didn't take them! He has played over 60 times for QPR... if he was good enough he'd be a mainstay in the side by now.
