We head into the international break on the back of a 0-0 which always leaves points available at a premium.
Nobody went for 0-0 but qprallan, QPRsmith, MaxQPR, QPRBex, LurkR, MCM Hoop, surrey chad, SydneyR and CutePR did go for a draw for 3 points each
With no first goal scorer or goal time on offer it meant the bonus match had more importance this round. pamment8, stoatey, Ghost, onenightfever, myself, SydneyR, Rosco Bosco, surrey chad and MaxQPR went for West Brom's 2-1 win for 3 points
There were only 6 points on offer then and surrey chad, SydneyR and MaxQPR both picked them all up. surrey chad is now odds-on to get promotion from Division 2 with a 15 point lead over 4th place. It is MaxQPR who occupies that 4th place (up from 7th). I stay 3rd with singlespeed remaining 2nd despite only picking up 1 point in the last 2 matches.
The other player to pick up 6 points SydneyR carries on a record so far this season of either scoring 6 or zero in every match! SydneyR is one of 4 players on 18 points in the second tier as a result and is at the head of the pack on goal difference in 6th place.
QPRsmith picked up 4 points but stays bottom of Division 2 on goal difference from ashqpr who went for 0-0 in the last 2 matches picking up zero points and now wishes he'd stuck with 0-0 for a 3rd match!!
In Division 1 CutePR is back on top, nudging ahead of Ghost on goal difference. LurkR is back up to 3rd despite having failed to score in the last 2 games and kingfisher drops from 3rd to 6th.
e17hoop and Rosco Bosco still occupy the bottom 2 spots with e17hoop falling slightly further behind but the points remain so close anybody from Division 1 could still end up relegated at this stage.
It is looking like around 50 plus points may be needed to both gain promotion and avoid relegation at the current rates of scoring with 9 matches to go in Phase 1 of the season.
The matches come thick and fast after the 2 week break so don't forget to enter!
Here are the tables after Match 6:
And if you missed them here are the details on how the season will pan out with regard to the bonus points in Division 1 based on finishing position and negative points in Division 2 for the bottom 3.
