A long term view of some which I agree could and that's only could happen in the future I personally think he's not right for us and the West Brom defeat will always hurt

The biggest liability at Loftus Road right now is Steve McClaren himself.
I can’t see how he is going to do anything positive for QPR on the pitch and think his ancient management style will be the downfall of the London club.
Him lasting the season is incomprehensible, that is how much of a liability he is. It was a poor appointment through no fault of McClaren’s – but he is in the job now and it could possibly be to the detriment of the club’s progression.

McClaren.
He just doesn’t seem to get it. He had the chance to assemble a squad, and hasn’t.
He doesn’t have the approach they need to survive. He’s a dinosaur. They need rid.
"He just doesn’t seem to get it. He had the chance to assemble a squad, and hasn’t." Mclaren wont be in charge of assembling a squad but rather pin pointing positions and style of players he would like. The DOF will pick the players. We also dont have any money so could hardly to much in the window.
We seem to have turned a corner recently but will see how we do now the FL is back. I think he could do fine for us and help develop some of the youngsters as he is doing, in my eyes thats doing something positive for us.
Shoddy journolism doesn't surprise me when you see whom they quote from. His task this season is keep us up. We can't spend in January due to embargo. But money is and will be available when we can spend.
I will hold my hands up and admit that I'm not a McClaren fan and he wouldn't have been on my long list of possible managers yet alone my shortlist of QPR managers. IMO McClaren is another Fernandes Folly and he will join the long list of TF mistakes.
The club told us he (McClaren) was brought in to take us forward and develop our young squad. His idea of developing our young stars appears to be by sending them out on loan (Manning) or playing them out of position (Eze). He did get lucky, however, with Lumley who was brought into the team because his first choice goalie,Ingram, was still in shell shock from conceding 7 at the Hawthorns.
However, now he is here it's only fair that I give him a chance to prove me wrong and following his signings of Rangel, Cameron, Hemed and Wells the signs do look better. If we are still struggling after 10 games then I can only see trouble ahead!

I'm not sure how the 'journalists' in the original post can make such sweeping judgements after 6 games, the most recent 2 of which have seen drastic improvement.
I do agree with stoatey though in that no QPR fan would have brought in McClaren to replace Holloway, he had been out of the game for 18 months and was on no other clubs shortlist. He got the job simply due to the fact he impressed Fernandes 4 years ago he seems to have been Fernandes' last big hope/gamble/decision as chairman. Now we just have to hope he can do a lot better than any of us expect. Staying up this season is just the start.
I still think it's down to the next 6 or so games His job is to keep us up and that's it We are a long way from being a top 10 side If will take a few years to shake off this FFP fine etc
