Not a fan. I didn't see as much of us last season and he was viewed favourably by the wider fanbase but having seen 80% of our games this season I keep spending games wondering why he is playing.
He is obviously known as 'the rat' but he just runs about offering little. If you give one of us a hooped shirt and tell us to chase everybody we could do the same ineffective job.
In my view he is always off the pace, he arrives to snap at somebodys ankles just after they pass it off so he just doesn't impact the game.
How often do you see him make an interception? He is supposed to be our shield!
He isn't physical enough, he isn't great on the ball. He cannot dominate a game.
Next to Luongo in a two it just doesn't work. If you look back at my Preston report I said the same thing then on the opening day.
I get the sense that McClaren is not a fan either, if he is seeing what I am seeing Scowen won't get much game time in months to come.
